Who Companions #1: Carole Ann Ford (Susan Foreman)

Today we leap headlong into full-on geekdom here at Pornhater Central Command with the first in our series on the Companions of Doctor Who. Obviously we’re only gonna post about the Doctor’s female companions, because let’s face it — it’s unlikely too many of our readers really wanna see pictures of Jamie McCrimmon scampering around in his kilt. Now, I’m no Who expert — I was only converted in the last couple of years, so I’m not equipped to deliver anything in-depth here, nor would I try. However, I do feel like I’m perfectly qualified to discuss sexy sci fi girls.

We begin with the first companion to the first Doctor (William Hartnell) — Susan Foreman, played by the saucy Carole Ann Ford. I’ve only seen a handful of episodes featuring Ms. Ford, but her cuteness definitely left an impression.

Susan Foreman was — to the best of my limited Who knowledge — the Doctor’s granddaughter, although he eventually locked her out of the TARDIS when she fell for a young fella who was fighting the Daleks (it was for her own good, I’m sure).

Carole Ann Ford also appeared in The Day of the Triffids (1962), which gives her added geek cred.
